Privacy
Last updated: November 2026
Tingshoo reads books aloud on an iPhone or iPad. The voice is made on the device. The article, the audio, and your place in it are stored there.
Complete privacy
- No sign-in.
- No Tingshoo account and no Tingshoo server copy of your library.
- The developer does not receive your books, your audio, or a usage profile.
What stays on the phone
- Text you paste, files you add, and pages the phone opens from a link
- Audio made from that text
- Which article you were listening to, and where you stopped
What the app does not do
Tingshoo does not have a sign-in, does not send usage data, and does not send crash reports. Speech is made on the device.
Links and feeds
Opening a link or an RSS feed downloads that page from the site you named. That download goes from your phone to that site. Tingshoo does not receive a copy.
Purchases
The free library holds 3 books. Full unlock is a one-time purchase through Apple. Apple processes that payment. Tingshoo stores only the fact that this Apple ID owns the unlock.
If you delete the app
The library goes with it. There is no server copy to restore.
